I updated some of my hummingbird images and added a hummingbird video taken with the Canon 5D Mark II on the recent Ecuador trip. You can see them at my Hummingbirds of Ecuador page.
Thanks Jo-Anne. I should have identified the hummingbird image posted to the blog. It is a Purple-bibbed Whitetip that was photographed at Septimo Paraiso, Ecuador.
Hi Paul. I have only seen one Hummingbird here in Mississauga many years ago at Lakefront Promenade Park, a male Ruby-throated Hummingbird. Very exciting as it was the first Hummingbird that I had ever seen out in the wild - and I've never seen any since. Cripes!
Just about impossible to pick a favourite out of all the Hummingbirds in your photos but I especially liked the Violet-bellied Hummingbird.
Wow, those are truly spectacular photos!

Paul ... if you're interested, there's a picture of a Cinnamon Hummingbird - Yucatan on the Toronto and Southern Ontario Birding forum.
